Andreas Graef 23+ Years Experience I have a Bachelor's in Journalism and graduated at the prestigious Center for Journalism Studies in Lisbon then moved to the United States in 2000 where I studied Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications at Northwestern University, worked in Journalism, Translation and Interpretation but I gave up of my solid career for something that could make my eyes shine: to be a Portuguese Tutor! I truly believe that I can make a difference and promote my country culture, gastronomy, history and of course our beautiful idiom! I believe that my multidisciplinary experience can help me to deal with the most diverse situations. I worked has a private Portuguese tutor with different companies: Bank Santander, Dell, Condé Nast, Louis Vuitton, The Museum of Modern Art and much more. In Portugal I worked also has a tutor with entrepreneurs from different countries, doctors, mental health practicioners,teachers, healthcare workers, foreigner homeopats, natural medicine practicioners, in the fashion industry, and with soccer players and soccer coachs. I believe I am a very kind person, patient, compassionate and attentive tutor and generally I became a friend with all ex-students and I am their tourist guide when they visit Portugal. Currently I am a University Professor of Journalism and I also help American Citizens, British Citizens, Israeli Citizens, Chinese Citizens and other nationalities to move to Portugal. I am very good with children and young people: I was a daycare assistant and an in-person Portuguese teacher to youngsters from 3 to 16 years old! MY STUDENTS ARE ALSO MY FAMILY, MY CHILDREN AND I LOVE THEM ALL: ADULTS AND YOUNG PEOPLE! My training methodology enable students to gain language proficiency by communicating immediately using the information learned, which lends itself to internalizing the information right away and being asked to produce it to ensure that learned information can be used effectively to convey desired ideas. Reviewing of past material at the beginning of each lesson makes sure that new material is being retained and put in long term memory. I suit my clases to my students occupations, to my students likes, hobbies, to their needs! With tools like chat, screen sharing, whiteboards, video sharing, my online language classes are 100% effective and engaging. I recommend a set of four books from beginner to fluent (they are mandatory in my classes!). Also I send to my students the weekly and monthly portuguese reference magazines !!!
