I got a master's degree in primary education at UCL. And I have a bachelor's degree in Chinese language and literature from Beijing Language and Culture University, which is the top 1 university for teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages in China. I am now teaching Mandarin to both adults and young learners for around three years. I also used to work as a teaching assistant both in a dual language class and a Chinese class at the International School of Beijing, which is the top 1 international school in Beijing. Whilst my undergraduate years, I did some part-time jobs such as a Chinese teacher to teach Chinese composition and sinology in both training schools and public primary schools; as an English teacher to teach normal English or KET/PET/FCE for the Cambridge English test. Plus, I was a tutor for two students lasting three years.

As an international student from China, I am a bilingual speaker who can fluently use Chinese and English in verbal and written form. Plus, I have gained insights into international needs after studying and living in a new country. Therefore, I can provide appropriate support for both students and staff. My experience of studying in Mainland of China, Hong Kong and the UK enable me to communicate with colleagues from all over the world and integrate into a multicultural environment easily. Also, I used to join AIESEC, the largest youth-led NGO in the world, volunteered as a teaching assistant and helped local teachers prepare and organize activities in different schools in Colombo, bringing multi-cultural perspectives and promoting the development of local education. I went to Taiwan and helped local environmental organizations create habitable bird environments. All those experiences have developed my interpersonal and communicative skills and the ability to work in an intercultural atmosphere I will develop a learning plan to suit the different needs of the students. I will help students with all listening, speaking, reading and writing aspects. Also, if a student needs help with homework, I will make suggestions based on my learning and teaching experience to help them.
