Hello my name is Keeley and I have been an English teacher for 5 years now.
The majority of my experience comes from living in China and teaching English to undergraduate students. While I was there I also did some private tuition with ages ranging from 4-21 years of age. Due to my time in China I have an acute awareness of the language challenges that students face and I am very capable of divising interesting, fun and cultural sensitive lessons. I have experience in improving all areas of English language and have prepared students for a number of exams such as CET exams, IELTS and I have also coached students to success in Provincial and National speech and writing competitions. I also have experience teaching and lecturing about Western Culture, American History, Literature and Media Studies.
My personal educational philosophy is 'if the child is smiling, the child is learning' and so I try to make learning a language as fun as I can through the use of games, quizzes and multimedia presentations. I try my best to understand each individual student and make sure I tailor my lessons specifically to them.
