I am a qualified history teacher, working in a secondary school teaching KS3-KS4 history. I have a passion for history and inspiring students in order to make learning enjoyable and engaging. I am very aware of the pressures of school and exams and strive to help learners reach their potential without unnecessary stress and anxiety. I am really easy going and flexible, students will find me to be easy to approach therefore it would make tutoring lessons a more comfortable environment.
Alongside exam techniques, I am familiar with AQA and Edexcel specifications therefore will have no problem adjusting to the needs of students and providing the required knowledge. I'm a native English speaker and have experience in tutoring conversational English. I have picked up many useful strategies in my experience of teaching pupils who have English as a second language. In our sessions, we will find those language gaps and address them together. My lessons are dynamic and are based on conversation. We will prioritise activities that reflect your day to day interactions and I will adapt content depending on your needs.
My favourite thing about teaching English is watching my students gain confidence and improve their skills, without worrying about making mistakes. We have all been there, learning something new is hard but my flexible, positive approach should make you feel more comfortable. As part of your learning journey I will also help you with pronunciation and accent. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me to discuss further.
