A qualified teacher with a certificate in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from Instituto Cervantes and Roehampton University. I also have a degree in Psychology and have worked in the field of education for many years.
¡Hola! My name is Romina and I am originally from Argentina. I have been teaching Spanish for over 15 years and I love working closely with my students to encourage a love of learning while helping them succeed and achieve their goals. I have taught students of all ages in different settings: primary and secondary schools, after school clubs, language academies, corporate and private tutoring. I love the variety of my job and I enjoy planning my lessons to meet each person's needs, learning style and interests.
I can help with exam preparation and I have experience preparing students for their GCSEs, A levels, International Baccalaureate and DELE exams. I am currently working as a Spanish teacher in a language school in central London teaching adults face to face and online. I also work as a tutor with children, teenagers and adults who seek learning Spanish for different reasons. Some are complete beginners, while others speak the language at home and want to improve their reading and writing skills. Thanks to my experience teaching children, I learned the importance of having a playful approach and I aim to make every lesson fun, engaging and meaningful.
As a tutor, one of the aspects I enjoy the most is the opportunity to develop confidence, joy and independence in my students. It is very rewarding to witness their progress and enthusiasm as they improve their language skills and open their minds to cultural differences. I see myself as a facilitator in this process, and I work hard to create a friendly and safe atmosphere.
