I completed bachelor degree studies (architecture and building arts) at university and completed certificated college level courses in project management, business studies, soft skills and technical subjects (HVACR, electrics, electronics). I followed art study and practice classes at high school, technical college and with private art teachers. I earned the 120 hour in-class TESOL certification.
I am committed to hold myself to a high standard of professionalism and accountability. I believe in the value of ongoing education, growth and development. I am generally methodical and thoughtful. My inclination is towards artistic expression. Art and exploring the world and cultures are passions. I believe that education goes beyond the transmission of knowledge towards character formation and acquiring practical life skills. Student goals, abilities prior learning and current understanding are all important considerations. The role of the teacher includes facilitating, motivating, encouraging a culture of learning and encouraging independent and critical thinking, problem solving and debating skills.
