Molly

I am currently a 2nd Year Pharmacy and Spanish student, studying at The University of Lincoln in the UK. Prior to University I studied A-Levels in Chemistry, Biology and Spanish. I also did my GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, English Literature, English Language, RS, Spanish, Geography and Textiles. I also applied for Medicine and Pharmacy so understand the application process and entrance exams (UCAT and BMAT) stress so am more than happy to help out with that too!

Alongside my studies, I am currently working in 2 local Secondary schools within Lincoln where I teach GCSE science to Year 11 students - here I mentor on a 1:1 basis. For me, as a student and tutor myself, I have learnt the importance of building a comfortable and honest working environment, which I hope to implement on students here too! My aim as a tutor is to work on areas of weakness focusing specifically at honing in on details and concepts that students feedback to be struggling with. From personal experience, I have found it most beneficial to take an active, visual learning and teaching approach. I find that trickier concepts can be grasped easier when students have the ability to remember key ideas through visual thought. I will do this through the use of diagrams, graphs, drawings, mind maps and my secret weapon - my whiteboard! Although simple, I use these in combination to build confidence and achieve the results!
